~~~ doesn't necessarily mean that those letters are a casino/club name.
Any array of letters such as CHD, for example, doesn't mean the C stands for casino or club and that the D is a city... The letters can virtually stand for anything; such as a tourist region, a famous fountain, a parent/group operator name and so on... and, without finding some sort of documentation such as stock shares, letterheads, and metal tokens with the same monogram and the actual spelling of the establishment, the piece will remain unknown... Also, many casinos had two three and even four monograms with two of them being on the same chip; obverse and reverse... It's just a matter of matching up a chip with the casino and there are a lot of casinos known without any chips and a lot of chips known without a match to a casino... and this has been going on for generations (especially in California 🤔).
