The owners have all bowed to the political correct mania that has swept the country. Several years ago I was privy to a letter Chief Bearskin of the Wyandotte Nation received from a high school player asking if it was ok that his team had an Indian mascot and team name. The Chief answered, as long as your team displays good sportsmanship, and conduct themselves like proud men, then any tribe would be happy to be associated with them. Something I have always thought about when these things come up.
