My Father had an old saying he often used "There is many a slip between the Cup and the Lip". Well that old saying is reverberating in my brain as I write this Update to my Ebay saga.
On August 21st when I posted the First Update to my Ebay problem everything looked like it had been resolved - the item was finally returned to the Riverside, CA Post Office and it was out for delivery to the seller and my refund was being processed. Well things took a turn for the worst last night. I got an email from Paypal saying my claim was denied "again" because the item was NOT delivered back to the seller. How could this happen ?? I checked the USPS tracking # and to my disbelief the item was headed back to Delaware because it was NOT claimed by the seller for 5 days. I tried to call the P.O. in Riverside, CA to verify what had happened to the package but I could not get thru to them. I called Paypal and after a lengthy discussion they said I SHOULD get the refund for the item by September 5th. So - the item is on it's way back to me for the 2nd time and my refund SHOULD be credited in the next week. I don't know what will happen next but I know I am NOT going to pay to send the item back to the seller. If he does not pay for return postage I may end up with a Refund and the item but remember -"There is many a slip between the cup and the lip." ........................I'll keep you posted.
