Austin was also one of my favorite places . Looking for bottles , I dug quite a few there . One guy there found a complete upper plate in an out house .It was made of gold . I tried my hardest to buy it from him but he wouldn't sell. The lady that owned the Pony Canyon Motel was also into real estate and she lined up permission to dig . On memorial day weekend in 1979 I dug hundreds of bottles there and split them with her as she also ran an antique shop at the motel.
