Excellent, Charles. About 20 years ago, I searched the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, which boasts that you can find “anything”, for chips, and found none. I know many of the chips were not destroyed because they kept showing up in Turkish North Cyprus. Some casinos just used chips with other casinos’ names on them, and some stickered over them. Not so much any more, as most are part of big resorts, but essentially the entire casino industry, including the employees, moved to North Cyprus from Turkey because technically it is a separate country, although no other country recognizes it.
