Pam, back in the 40s, Tonopah was a crazy place especially during WWII. The air base contributed
to much of the activity. I remember stopping by the Tonopah Club many times. Things had slowed
down by the early 70s but they still had live gambling including keno. Sadly, the place was destroyed by
fire.
