Like Walt Gonski, I to am a Vietnam Veteran, U.S. Marine Corps (1964 - 1969)
having served all my Vietnam time in Khe Sanh at the northern most combat base
on the DMZ. I was awarded the Silver Star and Purple Hearts for being wounded. I
lost many fellow Marines in my unit, & today is their day, so a do take a little time to
remember them and the sacrifice they made. Please remember that Memorial Day is
not just a day to BBQ and party, but rather a day to remember those in our military
who gave their lives so we may have the right to freely party & BBQ .....
I am sure that all current and past military can relate to this.
