THE KINGDOM OF SHAKA ZULU

Today I am going to describe a harvest trip to KwaZulu Natal, one of the provinces of South Africa located by the Indian Ocean.
For your pleasure I will share a series of photos that I took from some places visited.

Travel by plane from Johannesburg to Durban and stay based on a wonderful beach resort - Umshlanga- located near Durban.
The pretext for a collection of chips , allows us to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding areas.

PIETERMARITZBURG (1 casino) OPENED September 2001
Pietermaritzburg is the capital of KwaZulu Natal and second-largest city in the province of KwaZulu-Natal. It was founded in 1838 . It is a regionally important industrial hub.
There exist one interpretatiion about the origin of the city's name. It says that it was named after the conjunction of the names of Piet Retief and Gert (Gerrit) Maritz, two Voortrekker leaders.
NOTE- Voortrekkers is the designation for the people that did the Great Trek , which was an eastward migration of Dutch-speaking settlers who travelled by wagon trains from the Cape Colony into the interior of modern South Africa from 1836 onwards, seeking to live beyond the Cape’s British colonial administration.

Durban is the third most populous city in South Africa after Johannesburg and Cape Town and the largest city in the South African province of KwaZulu-Natal. Located on the east coast of South Africa, Durban is the busiest port in the country

Empangeni is a town approximately 160 kilometres north of Durban, in hilly countryside, surrounded by sugar cane plantations.
Was Tusk Umfolozi Casino. Operator- Peermont Global (KZN) (Pty) Ltd, Management Company- Peermont Global Management. Slots-267, Tables-12.In 2006 Peermont controlled the interest acquired in Tusk Resorts, including Tusk Mmabatho, Tusk Rio, Tusk Venda, Tusk Taung and Tusk Umfolozi. Tusk Umfolozi was opened in May 2002. Was refurbished and rebranded as Umfolozi Hotel and Casino which opened its doors in 2010.
