The River Queen was a bar located in Fargo North Dakota. As far as I can determine, they no longer in business. At NO time did they ever have a gaming licenses, and as best can be determine, they NEVER operated ANY illegal gambling.
They DID lease space to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to conduct gaming at that location between 1/31/1984 - 6/30/1989. There may have been other Charitable organizations that operated there as well during different periods.
Presently, North Dakota allows ONLY Native American Casino and Charity Organizations to operate. There HAVE been illegal gambling occurring before legalized gambling was authorized, but NOT at this location.
ANY chips with the name of River Queen on them are NOT associated with this location.
I have contacts within the Attorney Generals Office that have CONFIRMED this! They DO provide a online listing of BOTH authorized organizations as well as locations that is updated twice a year.
I also have past print outs of these list in addition to a list of organizations that have had their gaming licenses revoked.
One reason why certain people are appointed to be in charge of certain areas is that they have the knowledge for either certain areas and / or type of collectibles.
If you do NOT know where an item is from, then submit it as a UFC and it will be taken care of.
In all honesty, I have been guilty in the past of straying into areas as an administrator that I was not suppose to - and once informed of this transgression, I stopped! I would appreciate the same curtsy as well!
Thank you for taking time to read this rant!
