Your brass key fob -- errr, thingy, if you wish -- looks like an actual hotel key from the Nugget. Tip-off is the Do Not Duplicate admonition on the key. As opposed to a key chain that could have come from a gift shop as a souvenir item. I often find key fobs at swap meets (well, in the past, given our current circumstances) for a buck or two apiece. Being brass and a key, yours might fetch a few dollars more. The trick is to find a collector who fancies fobs - thingies - whatnot.
Key duplication smile moment: my boss handed me the key to our office building the other day after I could not get in and he had to drive down there to let me use his key. Told me to duplicate it, so I didn't have to bother him again. I went to a locksmith near my home - key was clearly marked Do Not Duplicate - locksmith asked what it war for and how I got it. I told him, office key, I work there, my employer said to duplicate it . . . and presto! he made a copy, but also stamped on the copy Do Not Duplicate. You can't duplicate a Duplicate!
Now, if only we could stamp that on a Coronavirus!!!
