Fred that’s probably the best reason a person would have started collecting chips and another reason people start. Brings back memories, one of the biggest reasons people collect to begin with or just like what they’re collecting.
My investment comment was just a thought brought about from this virus concern about contact. Maybe one day maybe soon money and chips and the way we do business will change and make those things more valuable in that sense.
I too fell in love with chip collecting out of maybe not visiting as much as you but the history and beauty of these small round clay chips with pictures and numbers.
I thought how much more fun this is compared to coin collecting and how very few there really are of these unlike coins printed in the millions.
The history is one of the best parts along with their simple beauty.
Then I found there was a club doing this and wow how fun to be around others that enjoy the same thing and be able to buy sell and trade with.
I thought what a great way to learn add and to my hobby.
It’s been much more to me as well and has added joy to my life.
Take care and love your response
