~~~ in hopes of finding some advertising a casino, then learned to simply ask the vendor. Same with postcards. A few vendors have told me there are lots of reproductions mixed in with original ones... so I lost interest in even looking. It was also explained to me how the fakes are exposed to sunlight and that the pigments were mixed to look and test like those made before restrictions. Then when I was told by some French coin collectors who pick for me throughout Europe that some of the fake posters date back to just after WWII, I totally gave up looking. They, and other French collectable fakes were made to dupe the Americans who were swarming Europe after the war in search of treasure. Just like the fake Ivory poker chips that were sold on the NOLA and Boston waterfront after WW II, which were made to look like 1880's poker chips, though they were inexpensive (mounted) compared to the stuff being sold to Americans in Europe.
I am not suggesting what you are showing are reproductions.... only passing on what I have been told about some fakes, in general... The fake Ivory I mention is for certain, as that is archived here.
