Quite some years ago, we did the innertube float where the Truckee river empties out of the north end of the lake. (It was when the lake was full / pre-drought years.)

The Truckee flowed at a nice pace, and the tube rental company would pick you up about an hour downstream and bring you back to your car. Cold water, but it was a warm sunny day.

Anyway, as we floated down the Truckee, several trout passed us by in that clear mountain water! A fun memory.
