Who remembers the old Bally bingo payout pinball machines?

My buddy Tom and I were playing "bingers" in the back of the Fremont circa 1972 and he wanted to cash out (to get a payout, you hit the on-off switch hidden under the right side of the machine). Well, the damn thing kept spitting nickels without knocking off credits and we just watched the machine run empty. Gave a boatload of the nickels to a bum who was watching eagerly.
