There may be an option that could bring us to a consensus. It would require us to have an instant, or near instant (15-minute or less test). You are right that the test is only valid for today. It tells if we are infected, either symptomatic or asymptomatic. But maybe you should be able to take the test and then based on the results you should be assigned either the MGM properties/Caesars/Downtown if you fail the test (you are Covid-19 positive) or one of the other casinos (South Point, Stations, Wynn, etc.) if you are C-negative that day. I picked the casinos that did well to their employees and lumped Carolyn's together as well -- I know Derek took care of his employees but he goes with Downtown, just my gauge, we can do some negotiation on that point.
It would allow the casino to fill up with like people - would keep them from having to sanitize the cards and chips as the people were known all in the same boat. They could open the restaurants, buffets, tables on full. Sure there would be some staffing problems, but that could be worked out with the unions. Contract tracing would be easy as we know everyone and where they were assigned.
A few things to work out for food delivery for the C-positive joints and the like but I think overall it could be a solid plan. Maybe drop it up the block and like with do with pizzas now. I haven’t worked out all the logistics but that’s why MGM has all the beancounters on furlough, they could bring them back a day or two early to work it out.
