This should interest all about how good the post office can track a package as long as the package has a tracking number.
I get an email from the sender "your package was delivered" but there was no package and it's after hours for the post office (5 PM).
I also went to usps.com and saw my package was delivered.
So the next morning I called my local post office and tell them my package might have been misdelivered or possibly it was stolen. They asked for the tracking number and told me it was misdelivered and they will send someone right out to retrieve my package and get it to me. I was amazed, and within the hour it was at my door with apologies. I was just thankful I received my package and all was good.
They explained they have GPS on the mail vehicle and the moment anything with tracking gets delivered it gets scanned and a footprint is left on exactly where it was dropped off. I was amazed as I have never read about this before.
So if you do not receive a package that shows it was delivered there is more hope now that the package will be retrieved since some missing packages get misdelivered.
I just thought it was interesting to senders of packages as well as recipients.
Keep safe and see everyone next year at the convention.
