Whilst some of it is relevant for once, the Queen has nothing to do with it and Boris/UK government didn't play down the situation and ignore it as much as Trump has (or not as far as we know, yet) and publicly.
Maybe if the US hadn't been funding that particular lab to the tune of $3.7 over the last 10 years, possibly hoping something like this would happen so that the Chinese economy would be affected, it wouldn't have happened. We'll probably never know.
As to human rights, people in glass houses. Yes, countries lie but some blatantly lie more than others.
The quarantine that let 40,000 people from China still come into the US, that one, you mean?
Yes, lots of things that shouldn't happen but do didn't help but to stop funding at this moment in time is just stupid.
