There was a casino (can't recall which one now) that used well-worn chips until more than 20 would fit into a row in their chip trays. Instead of 20x5=100 chips per rack, they would sometimes contain up to 105 chips in the rack.

Nice if you're buying a rack, but not good if cashing in without counting them!
Eventually, they did order new chips.
