I'm not suggesting rotating the camera.

I was playing with mine once, and it was driving me nuts (often, that's a short trip ). Anyway...rotating the camera didn't seem to make the reaction of the picture predictable. But going into the camera's edit program and rotating the picture (even if it didn't need to be rotated to start with) seemed to lock it into the orientation that I wanted.
