I communicated with Gene by EMail many times, with regard to the Poker Card Guards that he had collected over the years.
As he knew that I had a serious interest in Card Guard's he sold me some 'unique' sets from the PALMS CASINO amongst others.
I remember him telling me that he still had unopened boxes in his Garage that he would go through when he had the time. He then got back to me and said that his Garage had got broken in to and numerous items had been stolen.
I was lucky enough to meet Gene and have a face to face chat with him at the CCGTCC the year before (I think) his passing.
We discussed his years as a Poker Manager & Tournament Director, which I found fascinating.
You are sadly missed. R.I.P.
