...I am very familiar with The Rum Runner. 😊 I first stepped foot in the place the night I moved to Las Vegas on February 28th, 1980. When I pulled in town I stopped on the strip to get something to eat at the Tower of Pizza. That is now the Cosmopolitan. I then checked into a motel across the street from the then Treasury Casino on Tropicana & Reno. Then grabbed my cue to go find a bar with a pool table. I found The Rum Runner about a mile down Tropicana. A fairly new bar that had opened 3 months earlier in November 1979. One of my best friends, Geno Hill has owned it since 1988. He is on the far right in the second photo.

The first photo below is of me & two friends from December 1980. The second photo is when we won the Adam & Eve State Championship in 1989.
