I remember driving by around 1997 and the place was closed for remodeling I pulled in with my briefcase and a camera the construction guard let me in I told him I was doing a story on the Moulin Rouge as I went inside the construction workers yelled hey were closed I said I’m doing a story for the newspaper so one of the foreman took me around I slipped him $20 and as I walked into the kitchen I saw all the plates And the paper placemats being thrown away I grabbed about six of them put them in my briefcase I’m headed to the cage paperwork is all over the floor I found one dollar chip from the People’s choice casino as I snuck out with my goodies it looks like the managers or owners were coming back from lunch and I just drove away the next day I said why didn’t I get more stuff but I had no time and that’s my Moulin Rouge story
