Scot. I was just notified today they canceled our National Retail Real Estate Convention at the Las Vegas Convention Center scheduled for May 18th. 1,800 Developers and Retailers with booths exhibiting at the show covering 2 million square feet of floor space. 45,000 attendees during the 4 day show. Would have been my 18th year in a row attending. Some of the largest and highest number of commercial real estate transactions in the USA and World take place during that week and sets the tone for the upcoming years to come. Don't know what to make of this mess and what the repercussions will be on the economy. Let alone hundreds of millions that will not be flowing into Las Vegas during the convention week this year. Last year there were so many companies flying in on their own jets they had no where to park them all. Oh Well I have to cancel my rooms reservations now and heading home for a few cocktails.
