The prices were close on most orders 10c to 20c per chip until the early 1970ās. I see a lot at $125 per 100 (12.5c each)
It kind of funny that this order in 1962 of extra heavy weight chips are 10c each and the reorder is for 20c a chip in 1964.
It also depended on if there were inserts or a special die made. Iām sure if they had a certain over stock of a color...they would push those colors to a customer and discount them.
Yes...it is possible that the chips were used in Taft. Iām just saying ..not as likely. C.W.Rice never sent duplicate chips to 2 different people unless there was some sort of difference. Could be the same exact stamp, but with color differences or one has denominations and the other person got the same stamp both sides.
