For many years during the early-90's I bought thousands of full sheets of "postage" here in Florida at 50-70% and traded them in Europe (they wanted the plate block) with collectors and merchants who would pick for me; mainly in France and with the Eastern Europe groups. I would send cartons of stamps and a month or two later I would receive cartons of chips and plaques from places they knew where to look. They were very honest, especially the Romanian groups. Very honest; as was I when I would receive treasure from them without them realizing what the high values were... and, some of them were sample chips from Chipco and Paulson sent to casinos in Europe. In fact, I traded one with you at the ANA in Orlando in '92, a notched $100 ESJ beach ball. It was found in a closed casino in France. Anyway, to make a long story short; many of the full sheets I would buy were stuck together and damaged. When I asked the postmaster at 33470, if anything can be done they said yes and explained what I would need to do to "exchange" them which, at the time I did not know.. meaning, if you turned in twenty 40¢ stamps that were damaged, you would receive new 40¢ stamps in exchange. All my stamps were mostly 3¢. They required that the damaged stamps be affixed to sheets of paper and it was okay to use tape. Each time I did this they said that they would make an exception because thay did not have enough 3¢ stamps.. How cool is that 😀?... I did this many, many times, too. 😀
