Places (illegal)that used generic chips. Let’s say they were playing with 2000 Maltese cross chips on a roulette table. These chip companies made 100’s of thousands of each generic chip. It would be hard to pinpoint which chips were used. So...anyone with a Maltese Cross could say their chip was from this place or that place ...I would think even with proof (pictures inside the club)and 100,000+ (maybe a million who knows?) chips made, wouldn’t that make the values almost 0 (zero)

The only thing I have to add is that I would believe chips of this sort with cigarette burns would be more apt to have been used in a Club Room or illegal poker parlor. I would think most people with chips at their home would supply an ashtray? Only an opinion
