Most of the generic chips that are listed show up in Richard Carbin’s book “Chipin away...at the gambling scene of Saratoga”. The seller has purchased most if not all of Mr Carbin’s chips. It is very likely that ,although generic, these chips were used in the casinos of Saratoga. I have purchased several racks of chips locally (Saratoga Springs) that also included generics with them. There is documentation that Peter J Sullivan (of PJS table one and table two fame) traveled between the Elite Club in French Lick Indiana and Riley’s Lake House in Saratoga Springs and moved these chips with him, along with his exclusive monogrammed chips
