Seems like the 1976 Bicentennial was not long ago, but it will soon be replaced with the milestone 250th anniversary of America's founding in 1776.

The celebration, in 2026, will be designated as the Semiquincentennial (per Wikipedia).

"The United States Semiquincentennial (or Quarter Millennial) will be the 250th anniversary of the 1776 establishment of the United States of America."

All of the Bicentennial chips will be 50 years old by then, and may enjoy a resurgence of interest in 2026. I hope there will be new "Semiquincentennial" chips to enjoy too -- perhaps minted as 250th commemorative Snappers, or more likely, a number of $25 chips?
