~~~ if it were me, I would scrub the whole overseas holiday and do it here in the USA.

In my opinion (no polly-tics here); there are only two countries who have taken this virus very seriously... China and the USA. China did exactly what should have been done and so did Trump. This, alone, should be understood as to why, even though some other countries feel that Trump's moves were uncalled for.
