The no matches in covers is ok with them and doesn’t deter value or collectibility. It says most collectors collect without the matches. One reason is for traveling, not safe on planes and an obvious fire hazard. Also the ability to put into binders and pages flat and easier to see the artwork. Much like chips.
Most chip collectors must have the matches intact ? I’ve seen them pass up good matchbooks because they say they have to have the matches in them.
Hopefully the match collector will come to the Convention and buy some pristine matches we have and tear out the matches and put into books. I only have a few left because I sold a few last year at the convention probably to cheap. I had a rare pushycat a go go book and I also have a Sphinx Club book and a few other Las Vegas classic oldies like the Thunderbird left I think.
Thanks for posting the info
