Golden Nugget Gasoline - according to Oilhistory

website - the company was formed, ordered pump plates (that's what the porcelain "sign" was) but then went bankrupt without building a single gas station. At least no photo of a station exists. What few pump plates still exist can fetch up to $3,500 from dedicated collectors. You know, same as a Bugsy Siegel autographed $25 chip from the Flamingo . . .

Anyway, thanks for getting the Oil Historians to use their gray matter to figure it out.
