I used to visit casinos and get 10 of each inexpensive chip for trading/selling. A fun project was to take one in the worst condition and cut it open just to see what that kind of chip looks like inside.

I do the same with some coins and tokens, and have settled a few bets by proving that a copper token may actually be zinc with a copper coating
