absence . . . the Key Largo casino building was still on the lot, but closed/boarded up and fenced off. This would have been around 2009. I hadn't been in Las Vegas since my days as a roadie for a rock band that performed there, two weeks on, two weeks off. That was around 1978. I had just started collecting chips by 2009. Guess there was no interest in selling the property, maybe it was in bad condition inside, so eventually it was "erased" like so much of old Las Vegas. They sure seemed to have a lot of businesses in there, trying to make a go of it!
