When you are a visitor to Hawaii try and find coconuts hanging from a coconut tree. It is a rare sight to see. I guess coconuts are very valuable.
In the past, a lot of tourists would get conked on the noggin from falling coconuts. The city government got a lot of lawsuits so they started sending out crews to cut the coconuts from every coconut tree on public property.
This is only "shibai". (it's pronounced "she buy" and is a commonly used word in Hawaii)
(From Wikipedia: The term is used mostly regarding social interactions. It can be heard being used in reference to the political system in general, or applied to political actions, policies, even individual politicians that are deemed untrustworthy, shady or disingenuous.)
I know it's "shibai" because the government wants the coconuts for themselves. I told you coconuts were valuable!
A casino named Coconut Casino used nuts as currency. I was very fortunate to obtain these very, very rare chips. They are so valuable the casino drilled holes in them so no one could cash them in. I told you coconuts were valuable!
I don't know if there was a higher denomination chip. The casino would have had a hard time cashing out over a hundred coconuts!
I would have had a hard time carrying home over 100 coconuts. Plus the fact it's pretty hard to hide that many coconuts without someone finding and stealing them!
You won't find these chips on the ChipGuide, they are that RARE!
Someone asked me to sell him these RARE chips. I told him, "Are you nuts? It's NUT for sale!"
