What I currently own is shown below. Note that chips were made by both Burt and USPC. I’d bet that many of you that own these chips didn’t realize (or care) that there were two different varieties.
I can distinguish the difference between the two manufacturers by: 1, Burt inlays are smaller, 2) Burt colors are different from USPC, and, less easy to distinguish, 3) inlays colors are different as they age.. A USPC inlay yellows over time where as Burt inlay remains white or grays a bit over time. Reason for the difference is USPC used flammable, toxic celluloid. Burt used more modern and safe plastic.
I have 4 USPC colors. I would think they would have ordered at least 6 colors. I only have 4 Burt colors. If there is black and pink, I would image there is also a red, green and maybe lavender.
I’d paid $125 for any new color or trade 3 different DAC chips.
If you have a different DAC chip, please at least send a scan.
