Borland put opening and closing dates on a number of "private issue" chips he made after the casinos closed and other have followed him. But, opening and closing dates don't necessarily indicate that the chips are "private issue". Here are some legitimate chips issued by the Stardust right before they closed with their opening and closing dates.
