Probably Game at Mather was USO-Sponsored

Growing up around Keesler Air Force Base (ATC), MS and later serving in both Air Defense Command (ADC) and (USAFSO) in Panama, I can tell you most of the Air Forces used the USO Club -- a group of volunteers were the ones who supplied poker supplies like cards, and poker chips. Also, free beer tokens that I frequently see on this board. USO sponsored all kinds of activity on air bases like even some took their volunteerism overseas by getting celebrity actors, singers and even Bob Hope to tour -- especially during the Vietnam war. These events were welcomed events. At Keesler AFB and others the women would provide local girls from around the base, and bus them to dances where a good time was had by all.
