Hiya folks,
I'm going to be doing a new daily feature for your viewing pleasure and enjoyment. Seemed everyone really enjoyed Richards daily feature, including myself and I gather that most here enjoy anything with a casino logo on it. I picked up a great collection of hundreds of, more like 800+ casino shot glasses a while back, a collection that covers casinos from all over the US and beyond, so there's a little something for everyone as we all have different areas of interest. The collection had been on display for many years, collecting dust and dead bugs and I'd never really collected shot glasses, but it was an opportunity I could not pass up.
Recently I opened the 1st box labeled A-C, a box that I had quickly packaged up, didn't really look at each one, at the "pre" estate sale and of course was again fascinated with the variety, color and design of the glasses. I then proceeded to give them a wash & dry, alphabetize them and lay 'em out on my workbench/dining room table and prepare to document them. I believe I've shared my enthusiasm about my "Photocube" and how easy it is to photograph those three-dimensional collectibles. It's also a great way to get consistent images with the same angle and lighting which is very important especially if you're a little OCD like me! You can see in the image below how I was able to rig up the cube to get a good, up-close picture. I then download the images to my computer and give 'em a little edit in PhotoScape and bingo you have the 1st installment of the Casino Shot Glass of the Day!!!
Are you into it!?!?!?!? Please let me know
Eric
