While I was in LV for the Casinorama show, I made the rounds to get several new slot cards. Among them were the "Rewards Club 52" card from Sahara, and the "OYO Rewards" card from OYO.

Both cards printed an expiration or valid date on them --
The Sahara card expires on 5/31/20 ... 4 months are the issue date.
The OYO card says "Year Valid 2020" ... so appears to expire on 12/31/20.

Is this new for some Players Card programs? Why would they want to expunge players from their system? (Maybe so they can void points earned after a certain date, if the card is not renewed? Or just to clean up their database with inactive players?)

I don't recall expirations on cards before, though there may be others.

Just curious.
