If so, maybe that is why the seller clearly stated the term "may be expired" in the description.
Also, if so... maybe the chip is super-rare (wasn't in ChipGuide the last time I checked).

Reminds me of a manufacturer sample that was tucked away for 50 years and turned up on eBay while the whole inventory was destroyed in 1971.... maybe. 😀
