First thing I spotted, just three vendors down the first aisle I walked, was the black ashtray. I'm not usually into ashtrays but . . . this one was DIFFERENT! South Point in Laughlin? Somebody tell Benny Binion's Horse! Never heard of counterfeit ashtrays so . . . I got it.
A variety of other odds-and-ends, including two unreported BPOE aluminum tokens - A C Horse from San Clemente and a Blue Elk from Long Beach. Reverse side, typical "elk o'clock" logo. What time is it when an Elk sits on your Clock? (Ans. below)
A couple of chips (Duran Duran came from Agua Caliente where I went after the swap meet). Some tokens which were mostly "new to me - Monkey playing craps from the Golden Gate? And the Big Kahuna Cash Bash token! Maybe not the largest haul from a swap meet - but a fun morning anyway -the swap was really crowded, the spring weather doubtless playing a part.
Then had fun at The Agua Caliente Spa in Palm Springs, especially hitting the Major in the Golden Century slot game and pocketing a cool $800 jackpot. (Usually hitting a Major results in a court-martial.)
Ans. from above: Time to buy a new Clock!!!!
