Made it a double-header weekend, drove down to San Diego on Sunday and found a few items at Kobey's Swap Meet. There were more chips and tokens to be had, but I was mostly looking for the new and unusual, not duplicates of what I already have.
You know the Hungarian proverb, "What we lack in quantity, we make up for in Vaseline."
The Cristal was a boat that kept burning up and crashing into other vessels. It changed names a dozen times, eventually part of Louis Cruise Lines and then Celestyal Crystal. NOT the current Crystal Cruise Lines.
The ship's history is recounted here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celestyal_Crystal
The Circus Circus Thunderboat Admission Button is a fun find. Circus Circus owner Bill Bennett was involved in hydrofoil boat races which were held in San Diego's Mission Bay. Miss Circus Circus, boat # U31, appears on the button. Unfortunately was a DNF in the 1980 event.

Lastly, you may not know that I am also a connoisseur of the fine arts. This original oil on canvas, entitled "Kitty," proves it. It also proves that I'm not against freaking out our cat every time she walks by the wall.
