Even though a common design of a wheel chip might have come from someone who actually used the chip in a certain club, once some time goes by and the connection is lost, it's just a generic chip. Someone is selling chips with authentication from the Browns Hotel in French Lick. Anyone who would have used that chip is long gone . Authenticating from the grave won't hold up. I have a bunch of notes from Larry Trapp about roulettes from Northern Ky Clubs. They may be accurate but, from where we sit this far removed, who could ever prove it? The only chip I have that would be heavily tied by association is an inlaid chip with a BD stamped on it. It was in a lot of over a 1000 chips. The person I bought them from said they were from Indiana. The Indiana Club is listed as having these chips with the BD. However, without that one inlaid chip the rest will be generic in time.
