It was great to see some posts from Jim P. recently.

Though I didn't really know him at the time, about 20+ years ago, I do recall getting an Our Bar chip from him at the annual chip convention.

He had purchased the Our Bar (Pahrump, NV) $5 and $25 chips and was selling them -- at face value -- to interested club members. Though valued higher, he made them available, 1 of each maximum. A line formed as we entered the banquet on Wednesday night. They may have all been sold that evening, or if not, soon after.

I wasn't a $25 collector, but did buy one of the $5's in return for a $5 dollar bill. Still have it, and associate it with Jim P.

So, if you see other Our Bar chips for sale at the show in June, you'll know how they originally entered the chip collector market.
