Here's my Playing card question?? grin
In Response To: Playing card question?? grin ()

Has there ever been any research or a reference on how to identify what the different face pattern styles or types are called? I would assume that the card manufactures have some way of identifying each style in their production, promotion and ordering process. Just curious as I have put together a collection of Colorado cards (499 different examples) and in doing so made a spreadsheet of my collection and thought it be of interest to note the face style but have found little reference online. I know there are thousands of face types of cards out there but for the most part the casino cards are made predominantly by Paulson, Gemaco, Hoyle and the United States Playing Card Co..
Appreciate any input,
Eric
