Some of what's in destruction counts add up to hundreds of thousands of chips and plaques; such as what Stakis security told me way back when they were on a buying spree of casinos. Tom's notation of the definite need of £100.000 plaques on the game not only sounds reasonable considering the traffic, along with Tom would never assume anything and had to be one hundred percent convinced before he put anything into print... thus the reason he noted that it was "possible" there was a lower denomination being a £10 plaque which he already knew of the catalogue photo I sent him for his book, but he was under the impression it was only a sample because I told him the original piece was twice drilled and the photo was touched up for publication. Then, later on in years, Tom told me that Jeff had that drilled piece (he may have sold it). Tom had to have gotten the £100.000 info from someone, word-of-mouth, before he wrote this... It had to have come from somewhere and at that time there were only two people who were willing to share any info; one being in Chicago whom both Tom and I spoke with several times and someone else unknown to me, and Tom, only. Which, I am thinking, maybe the (10-pieces?) £100.000 plaques were used "illegally" and not on the books...? You think... 😀?
