I've been reading through the current Chip Chat auction catalog. In it are 3 Golden Nugget chips withe the house "G-N scroll" mold. -- 1 hot stamp & 2 center inlays. (Lots # 343-344-345)
As Doug describes it, these were made in Los Angeles by TR King. Made for Steve Wynn in the mid-70's.
I always thought these were made in Maine, through Burt Co., then perhaps later house molds made by Paulson in Las Vegas, or later in Mexico.
It was news to me that TR King had the capacity to make these type of chips entirely in Los Angeles. So ... you learn something every day!
