I continue to work on my various collections during the Coronavirus Quarantine here in Delaware. Although we are getting out a little more - maybe twice a week - whoopi !! - I still have lots of time to spend on my collections.
I am in the middle of re-arranging my Chip Manufacturer's and Casino Suppliers Sample Chip Collection and I pulled out a few chips to share here.I don't have the Largest "Sample" Collection but I do have a few 1000 assorted samples of all kinds. A lot of the Samples are in sets of 19 to 20 to over 100 different colors, edge inserts and designs from various distributors. However I also have a lot of better, rarer, unique Samples.
I am taking all the common Chipco, Abbiati, Paulson Bud Jones, etc chips out of my Dansco albums and transferring them to storage boxes in my Library Card Catalog Cabinet.
The better chips will remain in the albums. Shown below is a random group of around 100 Samples that will stay in the albums along with many others.
Samples are generally economical and fun to collect and I like trying to find unusual items and completing full sets which can also be a challenge.
Take care,
Jerry "Still Sorting Thru Chips" Birl
