Floating Casinos Goa operating extension


Goa was a former state of the Portuguese Empire. The Portuguese overseas territory of Portuguese India existed for about 450 years until it was annexed by India in 1961.
First floating Casino in Goa dates from 2001.

Goa’s River casinos have been granted another six-month extension of operating, until September 30.The government has been looking at relocating the offshore casinos from the River Mandov since 2013.The additional six-month extension has been granted to the six offshore casinos which include MV Horseshoe Casino, MV Pride of Goa, MV Casino Royale, MV Argosy IV, MV Royale Flotel and MV Lucky.
The government is still looking into the process of renewing the licence of MV Horseshoe Casino, which expired in August 2018

MV ARGOSY IV

2018-Purchased by the Pride Group of Casinos and Hotels, casino vessel Argosy IV from Illinois.The company intended to use it as a spare vessel while sending it two offshore casino vessels currently operating on River Mandovi Casino Pride I and Casino Pride II, for repairs.
Nayak added that the vessel will be soon moved to a dry dock in Jaigarh, Ratnagiri on trial run and for minor repair works following which it will be brought back to Goa.
Built in 1994, Argosy IV has operated as an offshore casino in Illinois

MV ROYALE FLOTEL

Deltin group which started with two floating casinos, the Deltin Jaqk and Deltin Royale, buyed the Caravela vessel , which was installed the first casino in India, and renamed the vessel as Deltin Caravela,which start operating as casino in 2015.
In addition to the MV Royale Flotel ( former Caravela) – Deltin Caravela, Delta Corp also operates the Deltin Jaqk, Deltin Royale in Goa and Big Daddy ( ex Maharaja)



MV HORSESHOE CASINO

THE FIRST FLOATING CASINO IN GOA OPENED JANUARY 2001- CLOSED 2015

The Casino Goa was the first floating casino located offshore in Panaji in Goa. The casino is located on a yacht, the M.V. Caravela, anchored in the River Mandovi. The casino vessel was owned by the Advani Pleasure Cruise Co Ltd as a joint venture between the company and Casinos Austria.
