Like all of us, I knew what a "Great Guy" Mike was and will be forever. Mike was always a gentleman and a friend.
My fondest memory of Mike will always be the day he invited me to his home to se his "Museum" of Casino Collectibles. It was a private tour - just Mike and me enjoying being surrounded by his "Stuff". We were like two kids in a candy store just soaking in the view of all the goodies on display. We shared many stories about chipping and our lives.
Since we both had "Museums" of Casino Memorabilia (Mike's was on a much grander scale than mine) I keep saying - "I've got that set of chips at home. I've always really liked that layout, wow, that's amazing and of course I've never seen one like that." We talked for a good while - just two guys who shared a common passion. The time we spent that day was priceless to me. It was fun, it was a shared experience, it was educational and definitely heartwarming.
I will never forget Mike and I am glad that I had a chance to spend some real quality time with him. He surely will be missed by everyone in our Hobby.
My heart felt condolences to his family.
Take care,
Jerry
Mike - May you rest in peace.
